KRAKKABOOM is located at the Arcade Shops of Westfield Old Orchard Mall.

 

ENTRANCE FEE:

$5.00 per participant to the Star Wars: Empire at War Premiere

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Seats are limited so active KRAKKABOOM members must register at our website (www.krakkaboom.com) and pre-pay at the store by Saturday, February 25, 2006.

                                                                                                                      

The ESRB rating is T for Teen.  Participants under the age of 13 must fill out and hand in the consent form. Members under the age of 13 cannot participate in the Premiere without the approved consent form from their parent or guardian.

 

DESCRIPTION:

We are one of a few Game Centers nationwide that will host an exclusive premier of Star Wars: Empire at War in conjunction with LucasArts and iGames!

 

A Game Premier is an exclusive event similar to a movie premier where gamers can play a newly released game and take advantage of the unique social environment only a game center can offer.

 

Star Wars: Empire at War puts the power to command an entire war for the Star Wars galaxy in the hands of players.  This real-time strategy (RTS) game is set a few years before the events of Episode IV: A New Hope.  LucasArts' new PC game lets players wage war on ground and in space, as well as experience the creation of the Rebel Alliance, the strengthening of the Empire and the beginnings of the Galactic Civil War.

 

STAR WARS CHARACTER APPEARANCE:

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC from 2:00PM – 3:00PM.

 

Get you picture taken with your favorite Star Wars characters!

We will have members of the 501st Legion - Midwest Garrison at KRAKKABOOM. The members of the 501st Legion create their own costumes based on the characters in the Star Wars movies and wear their costumes in public to celebrate their affinity of the stories.  They represent many of the various Star Wars characters including; Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, Imperial officers, Jedi Knights, Queens & Princesses, smugglers & bounty hunters to name just a few. 

 

DOOR PRIZES:

We will be giving away “2 for 1 admission” passes to the Museum of Science and Industry’s Game On exhibit.

 

The Museum of Science and Industry opened Game On 2.0: The History, Culture and Future of Video Games.  With more than 100 games for guests to play, this interactive exhibit explores the 40-year history of computer gaming and its impact on contemporary culture.  It follows the transformation of gaming technology, profiles the creative geniuses that led the gaming revolution and tells the incredible story of how video games are developed.
